Bioheat is a blend of traditional home heating oil and biodiesel made from renewable resources like plant oils, animal fats, recycled cooking oil, and algae. Bioheat is environmentally friendly, burns cleaner and more efficiently and can be used in conjunction with your existing equipment.

At Hometown Heating, Bioheat fuel has been highly researched and follows strict quality standards. Hometown Heating currently gets a blend of 5% bioheat from our distributors.
Grades of Bioheat
Biodiesel is commonly found in blends of 5%, 25%, and up to 100%. These blends are referred to as B10, B25, and B100 where B25 is 25% Biodiesel and 75% traditional home heating oil. Hometown Heating regularly uses blends of B5 when delivering Bioheat to our customers.
Several state and regional heating oil associations have committed to a 50% biodiesel blend (B50) by 2030 and 100% (B100) by 2050.
